    Pre-K

Our pre-k program is offered to students who turn 4 years of age by September 1st of the targeted school year. Prekindergarten students receive instruction in all of the areas of language and literacy, mathematics, social studies, science, technology, health, visual arts, music, and physical education to prepare them for success in kindergarten.

    Special Education

Our student's ages range from 3-5 years of age. Our comprehensive program offers individualized goals and objectives determined by the ARD Committee. These goals and objectives include fine motor activities, cognitive games and puzzles, intense language activities, self-help training, technology training and gross motor activities.

    Head Start
The Head Start Program was established by the United States Congress in 1965 to serve children, ages 3-5, and families who qualify for services based on income. The Head Start program addresses the educational, health, and social service needs of children and families by providing preschool education, health service referrals, and development screenings. Sherman ISD has eight Head Start classrooms. Breakfast, lunch, and transportation are provided for our students.
